| Pure Breed is an underground hip-hop group that is having great success since the release of their first album, which was properly self-entitled. Pure Breed is made up of Zo Dog, Sawed Off, and DJ Marty Mar. The group came into existence in early 2002. Since then they have gone non-stop at writing, producing, recording, and performing. The group plays hip-hop that is party oriented and remains positive. They have played with the likes of such notable acts as Mack 10 (Westside Connection), WC (Westside Connection), Cypress Hill, Knoc-turn'al, MC Magic, Nina Sky, Brenton Wood, NB Ridaz, Lil’ Rob, Mr. Capone, Young Sicc, I-Jahman, Kid Frost, Lighter Shade of Brown, Zap and Roger, The Mary Jane Girls, Coolio, Slow Pain, Mr.Knight-Owl, Central Coast Clique, Clika One, Mr. Shadow, and others. Zo Dog is the source of the majority of the song writing, while Sawed-off keeps busy in the studio during production. DJ Marty Mar laces the beats with scratches. They distribute under the Make It Hot Entertainment label. |
